Raila Odinga Talks to CNN About His National Resistance Movement Against The Government

National Resistance Movement Leader Raila Odinga was questioned by CNN about his move with the new outfit after dropping NASA (National Super Alliance).
CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin pressed the former prime minister how his reaction together with supporters will be once Uhuru Kenyatta is announced, winner.

Raila Odinga reiterated time and again that more about the reaction will be known on Monday 30th October when he makes an announcement on the way forward.

He deviated from the tough queries concerning his adamant stand on Kenya electorate terming the whole process that took place on October 26 as 'sham election'
NRM leader told CNN that the new movement aims at pressing the Uhuru government to step aside and allow for another credible election within 90 days.

Raila said the government is trying to get an excuse, so as to brutalize Kenyans in NASA strongholds after he told his supporters to stay away from voting. He said IEBC was forcing Kenyans on election they did not want

CNN anchor asked Raila whether his choice to boycott could have given his opponent an upper hand to win election after taking a miscalculated move. He denied saying his choice to boycott was due to IEBC failure to rectify his party demands on irreducible minimums.

He refuted claims that his plan was to push his agenda using ordinary Kenyans especially those coming from opposition strongholds. When asked why he pushed so hard on Uhuru government yet he boycotted the election. Raila said, " Kenyan people are tired of this regime and time has come for them to choose a government that listens and ready to serve them in equity."

Further, CNN asked Raila about his plan to end the NASA coalition which meant opting out of a political party. Instead, the former prime minister defended his party saying that the new National Resistance Movement was an extra wing added to oust Uhuru government while NASA coalition 'wing' remained as it is which represents members of parliament and senators.

Raila downplayed the number of votes Jubilee party garnered country wide saying they managed 3.5 million and the rest was rigged.

Raila said his side is only willing to hold talks with Uhuru on how to have another election after 90 days.
